Dormello II Stud was started in 1988 by Brian Wallis with the purchase of one broodmare prospect. Today, with over 49 horses consisting of three stallions, fifteen broodmares and thirty-one of thier offspring, the farm is making its presence felt in Texas, as well as across the nation. Founded on the principals set forth by one of the greatest breeders of all time, Federico Tesio, Dormello hopes to emulate his successes.

The first homebred foals of Dormello II Stud will hit the track this year. From a band of excellent mares, such as Graded Stakes winner Sharp Ascent and Graded Stakes producer Sunset Rose (GB), Mr. Wallis intends to breed racehorses that will carry top-weight at classic distances and win. His careful stallion selection, with the addition of Sharan (GB) to accompany The Great Prize, will hopefully form the foundation necessary to accomplish this feat.
